Tivoli now favourites to clinch last JPL playoff spot

Tivoli FC are now the front runners for the sixth and final Jamaica Premier League (JPL) playoff spot after a 2-2 draw with Chapelton Maroons at the Anthony Spualding Sports Complex on Sunday. Tivoli are now on 55 points with one game remaining.

Elsewhere, Waterhouse failed to improve their push for the last playoff spot, as they went down 2-0 to third place Arnett Gardens FC.

Montego Bay United clipped defending champions Cavalier FC 1-0 to move closer to the last automatic semi-final spot. The loss for Cavalier confirms that they will have to contest  the playoffs.

In the day’s other games, Harbour View blanked the already relegated Vere United 6-0, leaders Mount Pleasant defeated Molynes United 3-0, Racing United beat Humble Lion 2-1, while Dunbeholden clipped Portmore United 1-0.
