The Westmoreland police are searching for the husband of a British Jamaican woman who was on Monday found dead, nine days after she landed in Jamaica for an annual vacation.

The body of 64-year-old Dawnetta Anderson was found in a shallow grave in Petersfield, Westmoreland on Monday night.

Radio Jamaica News was informed that crime scene investigators used the clothing in which Ms. Anderson was last seen to positively identify the remains.

They returned to the location on Tuesday to continue their investigations and have the body removed.

Her sister, May Sinanon, described Ms. Anderson as a kind, caring, loving and jovial person, adding that the family is devastated by her death.

Ms. Anderson's husband of nine months, 37-year-old Andre Morrison, is being sought by the police as he was the last person seen with her.

Superintendent Othniel Dobson, Commanding Officer for the Westmoreland Police, has reportedly said Morrison has a history with law enforcement and is being sought by the police in multiple divisions.

According to the Sun newspaper, Ms. Anderson, a fashion retailer from South West London, fell for the builder when he worked on her Jamaican home in Roaring River.

It's reported that the mother of three, grandmother and great grandmother flew to the island on November 24 to stay overnight at a hotel with her husband in Montego Bay.

Her husband later called her family on the same day to inform that she was missing.

Morrison claimed that he left her at a location in Negril and when he returned to pick her up, she was not seen. He also claimed that he had filed a missing person's report at the Negril police station.

But, checks by Ms. Anderson's family with the police disproved that claim.

She was subsequently reported missing by her sister on November 27.

Ms. Anderson had been living in the United Kingdom since age 7.
